Be a daily volunteer

The volunteers that we are featuring this week in the Daily Mirror are just a few of the thousands of people who, by their actions, show every day that they love where they live. What could you do?

Get involved!

Volunteering is a great way to not only improve your local community, but also a chance to share experiences, build relationships, learn skills and get outdoors. At Keep Britain Tidy we describe ourselves as family. With our programmes, we work together across the country to help people to love where they live. By taking part in Keep Britain Tidy's Love Where You Live campaign - which supports everyone in doing what they can to improve the places where they live, work and play - you are joining a growing number of people who realise that we all have a role in making our country a cleaner, greener place to live. Daily volunteering can be as big or as small as you want it to be. Everything that you do makes a difference. For example you and your family could do a regular 'Tidy Up' just outside your front door. Or your business, school, friends or neighbours could come together to tackle something even bigger, like a park, a river, or a beach. Daily volunteering is about doing whatever you can manage as part of your everyday life. What if I don't have time? If you can't do a Tidy Up, you can still help Keep Britain Tidy by making a donation to support the work that we do with communities who are transforming England's green spaces, beaches, waterways and schools up and down the country. Where does my money go? Keep Britain Tidy runs several well-known programmes that enable thousands of people to improve the places where they live, including: Green Flag Award, Blue Flag, Eco-Schools and Recycling Services. We really need your help and support in continuing to deliver them. By visiting our Just Giving page and making a one-off donation - or even setting up a monthly payment - you will be helping to make sure that the vital work Keep Britain Tidy does will continue, and the amazing volunteers you have read about will continue to be supported by our programmes.
