Love where you live
The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign.
The Great British Spring Clean and Great Big School Clean 2025 were held from 21 March - 6 April 2025.
During the campaign our army of amazing #LitterHeroes pledged to pick 462,410 bags of litter - thank you!
Together, we cleaned up the places and spaces we love, as Keep Britain Tidy celebrated the tenth time we have ran the campaign to protect the environment.
Over the course of the campaign, ancient and bizarre treasures have been collected across the nation, including a retro mannequin and food rubbish dating back decades!
We'd love to hear about your unusual litter finds too.
Will you join us in 2026?
We spread the word for everybody to Love Where You Live because we believe that the environment belongs to everyone!
We are proud that more than 342,000 #LitterHeroes from different communities united to help tackle litter – some of which has been in our environment since we were founded more than 70 years ago.
'Retro rubbish' dropped many years ago is still causing harm to our environment, releasing greenhouse gases as it slowly breaks down in our soil and water, contributing to the climate crisis.
The good news is that litter-picking is a simple action that anyone can do. It makes an immediate and visible difference to the environment where we live, work and play.
Around 96% of people surveyed after 2024's campaign agreed that the #GBSpringClean reduces the impact of litter on wildlife and the environment.
