What is Tidyman? 

Tidyman is an iconic trademark belonging Keep Britain Tidy in the UK. First created in 1969 Tidyman has appeared on packaging and other materials to encourage people to dispose of their litter responsibly. 

The Tidyman logo is a simple but effective way to communicate the message of environmental responsibility. A familiar and recognisable symbol, Tidyman has been helping make the UK a cleaner and more litter-free place for over 50 years. 

Why use Tidyman? 

Tidyman is a well-known and recognisable symbol. The Tidyman logo has been around for over 50 years and is familiar to many people in the UK. Using the Tidyman trademark can help raise awareness of your business and its products or services. 

Tidyman is associated with positive values. The Tidyman logo is associated with environmental responsibility and cleanliness. This can give your business a positive image and make it more appealing to customers who, like us, are concerned about these issues. 

Can I use Tidyman? 

Keep Britain Tidy licences the use of their Tidyman trademark on range of products, services and communications in the UK to encourage the responsible disposal of litter.  

Certain items that go against the charity's aims may not be allowed to use Tidyman, and we reserve the right to reject applications, but we encourage companies to contact us to discuss their requirements.

How much does Tidyman cost? 

Keep Britain Tidy charges the following licence fees for each main brand* using the Tidyman trademark on product packaging: 

  • Up to 250 million pieces of packaging per annum £1,000 +VAT
  • Up to 1 billion pieces of packaging per annum £2,000 +VAT
  • More than 1 billion pieces of packaging per annum £3,000 +VAT 

*We do not charge additional fees for sub-brands that share the same name as the parent brand. We may offer a discount if you are using Tidyman on multiple brands. 

For all other uses and smaller volumes, we charge a fee based on the size of the organisation as follows: 

  • Up to 10 employees £250 +VAT
  • Up to 50 employees £1,000 +VAT
  • Up to 250 employees £2,000 +VAT
  • More than 250 employees £3,000 +VAT 

How do I request a licence? 

To request a licence for use of our Tidyman trademark, please complete our licence request form.  

You will be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to our licence agreement. If you have any questions regarding our licence agreement please contact us.
