Our approach
Our approach uses research and behavioural insights to develop, pilot and scale innovative behaviour-change interventions. We are part of a new global movement of policy-makers, academics and practitioners looking at the application of behavioural insights to encourage pro-social and environmental behaviour.
We rigorously evaluate our interventions in the real world and scale those that work at a national level. More than 160 local authorities have implemented one or more of our tested interventions since the launch of the Centre for Social Innovation in 2015.
Our success is widely recognised and public and media interest in our work is significant. We have won numerous awards, including a 2017 AIM Nudging for Good Award, the 2016 Charity Award for Environment and Conservation and a 2015 Nudge Award.
